New Delhi: A Delhi Sub Inspector (SI) of police was suspended on Friday, February 8, after a video of him kicking Muslims offering namaz on the road surfaced on social media.
According to officials on Friday, an investigation has been launched into a rumoured video that purports to show a policeman interfering with namaz being delivered on a road in the Inderlok neighbourhood of north Delhi.
“An investigation into the situation has been started. M K Meena, the deputy commissioner of police for the north, stated that appropriate action would be taken.
