This film is the sequel to the film ‘Indian’ released in the year 1996, in which Kamal Haasan played an important role. Why so much delay in releasing Indian 2 movie?
Indian 2 has taken a good amount of time to be made, this film was originally announced in the year 2017, earlier Sri Venkateswara Creations was producing it but they withdrew their hands.
Production of Pilaya Work started again, after that the shooting of the film started in 2018, a major accident took place on the sets of the next year’s film, in February 2020, three people died due to a crane accident. 10 people were badly injured in the accident, after a month everything was closed due to Corona pandemic. Shooting got stuck for 2 years. Movie maker somehow started shooting and completed it by 2023.
The filmmaker has also announced that along with ‘Indian 2’, he has also completed the shooting of the third part ‘Indian 3’. This shows that Shankar has taken a lot of time in making the film this time, but his aim is to give fans a unique film experience. This time the release of the film will start on July 12, after which preparations for the third part will also begin by 2025.
