A tragic and worrying case of the country going through a mysterious virus has come to light. The virus named ‘Chandipura‘ has shown its effect in Sabarkantha and Aravalli districts of Gujarat. So far five children have died due to this disease.

Chandipura Virus Ahmedabad Case:

Four children have died in Sabarkanta Civil Hospital. At present the Blood samples of the children have been sent to Pune and their test reports are expected today. Doctors said that symptoms like swelling in the brain have been seen in these children. The health department is now taking samples of his family members also.

Six patients have been admitted to Himmatnagar Civil Hospital, out of which one patient has died. Two more people have also died in Bhilora in Aravalli district.

A meeting of top officials of the health department to prevent the virus is likely to be held on Sunday, in which decisions will be taken on how to stop its spread.

Chandipura virus has caused severe infection in Sabarkanta district, which has affected many children. Due to this, the Health Department has taken strict action. Orders have been given to maintain surveillance on these matters.

Chandipura virus is believed to be the cause of death of children in various areas. Work is still going on for the treatment of this infection and experts are also keeping an eye on it.

Four children have died in Gujarat, when their blood test was done it was found that they were infected with Chandipura virus. Chandipura virus cases are increasing and its first case was found in Chandipura village in Gujarat. This virus causes flu-like symptoms in our body and its vector is mosquito. At present, due to rain, the incidence of mosquitoes is increasing. Therefore people should be careful to avoid mosquito bites.

According to the news, four-year-old Himanshu Kharadi of Balecha village of Udaipur, five-year-old Ganesh Kumar Shaileshbhai Paragi of Kodariya village of Khedabrahma taluk and two-year-old Krunal Shaileshbhai are included.

Regarding this infection, experts have said that it is a Rhabdoviridae virus which can cause severe encephalitis. This virus is spread by mosquitoes, insects and fleas.

To address this challenge, health authorities have now focused on the management of sand flies to protect against Rhabdoviridae.
